What a pretty kitty that is. Love the first photo. That kitten is just adorable.

Having a kitty for 20 years is indeed a very special thing. You must have taken excellent care of her.

This kitty looks to be a brown mackeral tabby Domestic Shorthair ( which means a mixed breed short hair cat). Domestic Shorthairs make great pets.

We had a very sweet Domestic Shorthair kitty that we adored, but who was not happy at our home and sadly we had to rehome her. Happily she is now living as the queen of the roost in a very loving home where she is an only cat, which she really craved. You can see her photo on my blog.

You can find brown mackeral domestic shorthair tabbies in shelters and adoption centers all the time. It is one of the most common coat patterns and colors. But your new kitty may not have the same purrsonality as your other cat, so please keep your heart open to a new delightful kitty who will have some amazing unique personality traits.

Good luck to you, and I do hope you find that purrfect kitty.

It's just a Brown Mackerel Tabby of no particular breed. Only 3% of cats on this planet are a specific breed. Contrary to what others are saying most cats aren't "mixes". Cats were domesticated THOUSANDS of years ago and breeds only in the last hundred or so. So most cats aren't ANY breed. http://life.familyeducation.com/cats/pets/45684.ht...

Go to a shelter if you'd like a cat like this. And pick an adult over a kitten. With kittens you can never be sure what they're personality will be like as adults while with adult cats it's right there before you. I have three cats I adopted as adults and they're far sweeter, more loveable and more playful than cats I've had since kittenhood!

You have a Domestic Shorthaired Tabby - there is no special breed, and I can almost guarantee that every humane society out there will have many cats that look exactly like the one you are looking for.

Now, if you are looking for a cat with special personality, I would actually check out an animal shelter and adopt an older cat. Kittens have lots of unknown in what their adult personalities will be. With an older cat, you get to pick what you want in a cat. Also, most of the cats at the shelter are there because their owners didn't care enough to keep them, not because of any behavioral problems.

Just check out http://www.petfinder.com/ enter your zipcode, and a list of adoptable animals will

Looks like a typical American Domestic Shorthair. Or, simple average cat. which can be some of the best out there.:-)

I have a Maine Coon and a Domestic Shorthair myself. Just remember to keep up on the vet checks, feed properly, have them fixed, and make them an indoor cat, and you both should be happy for many years.

    Good Luck~

I think cat lovers are unsocial people, maybe that is why you got a violation. They don't have a sense of humor and say dog lovers hate cats for stupid reasons. they get too butthurt about the simplest things a person says about their precious cats.

Just aa tabby coloured domestic shorthair, they are the most common breed of cat and your local rescue shelter will have many of them that need loving homes:)

That's a normal tabby domestic shorthair.

i don't think she's a certain breed, but i can be wrong. She might be a tabby or domestic short hair

your cat has like a 99.9% chance of being a mix. looks like a tabby mixed with something else. but that first pic was sooooo cute!!!
