As spiritual observers: What exactly happens within the next stage of the progression,?

when a human being finally comes to know, or realize, oneself?

What is it that spontaneously happens?

This is a question that everyone should be able to answer....

Asked by: a small insignificant sufi student and close companion....

Update:

Clue #1: One will see others, as one sees oneself.

Update 2:

Clue #2: All doubt will have been dispelled.

Update 3:

Clue #3: One will have judged oneself and one will no longer judges others.

Judgement day will dissapear.

There will be nothing left to judge.

Update 4:

I see that everyone has been observing.

There are so many wonderful answers.

It is not within this old man's heart to choose one as BA.

Vote as your heart speaks....

This old man has observed a totally self realized human being.

All that can be said about "One" is: One appears to be very common, is natural, shows no signs of being special, is extremely pleasant, shows no favoritism in the slightest.

They are a "True Human Being".

One such as that, is selfless

They have once again become normal.

Anything other than that must be considered abnormal.

Salaams,

a small insignificant brother and close companion

Update 5:

What follows self-realization? One becomes normal!

    As-salaam 'alaikum dear brother

The Holy Quran answers this perfectly......as Allah subhana wa ta'ala [God...Glorious and Exalted is He] knows best ..

► "and never call upon any other deity side by side with God. There is no deity save Him. Everything is bound to perish, save His [eternal] self. With Him rests all judgment; and unto Him shall you all be brought back." [Qu'ran 28:88]

► "All that lives on earth or in the heavens is bound to pass away:" [Qur'an 55:26]

►"but forever will abide thy Sustainer’s Self, full of majesty and glory." [ Qur'an 55:27]

These vereses are very profound [subhanAllah] and I do think they need no further explanation and they are certainly part of the story of how I came to embrace Islam. Alhamdulillah :)

However, for the benefit of others who may read an alternative English translation of the verses [where face has been used to represent the corresponding Arabic], here are Muhammad Asad's [may Allah subhana wa ta'ala be please with him] commentaries on these verses:

"Lit., "Everyone who is upon it i.e., on earth and/or, according to Ibn Kathir, in the heavens - since the pronoun in alayha apparently relates to the whole universe..............(commentary for Quran Ref: 55:26 )

Lit., "face", or "countenance", a term used metonymically in classical Arabic to denote the "self" or "whole being" of a person - in this case, the essential Being, or Reality, of God. Cf. also 28:88, "Everything is bound to perish, save His [eternal] Self"............(commentary for Qur'an Ref: 55:27 )

La ilaha illa Allah..[there is no god but God or .....none exists but God].....all drops return to the ocean [Qur'an 28:88 and 55:26-27]

    La ilaha illa Allah..

For those who have attained the goals of Sufism ware the wool on top of purity; attained through subjective experience of intuition or insight. The dervish seeker in the practice of asana Yoga and pranayama may lead to the abandonment of all notions of dualism or multiplicity, including the concept of an individual self realizing the Divine.

If in fact you are a student of Sufism I would not call you insignificant but in the practice of the dervish seeking the love of and merger with God. For the progression of the Sufi I have no answer. I think their realization is that only Source is. I would expect their full merger.

For the dervish I would think inner vision; the vision and realization there is no self. The requirements are many years, if not life time’s, of purification for attainment.

I mean no disrespect but in today’s world learned techniques’ of observation of the idea of the false ego brings about the same purification and realization on its own accord early in one life time. In all of history there has never been a greater need or urgency for the integration science and religion; Integration of the relative and absolute fields of Being.

Basically you answered your own question with the clues.

The more we progress on the spiritual path, the more we understand, that the whole world exist only inside ourselves, and by correcting ourselves we correct the world, until at the final stage when reveal, that everything: ourselves, the path and the source is ONE.

By that time we see the reality "from one end to the other", past present future without any doubts.

The last judgment is that we judge the whole world to a scale of merit, and we all feel pure love flowing freely.

I hope this is what you had in mind.

    .

Spontaneously joy arises, and the heart is in bliss with the beauty and Love and feeling of Oneness that flows.

Vision is now through the Higher Mind, and thus the discriminating mind is no longer able to maintain its hold upon the idea of separation, or vulnerability, or it's need for defensive or attacking thoughts and emotions.

So there is also complete peace of mind, and the mind remains in a state of stilled awareness.

With the expansion of consciousness, there also seem to be syncronicities and confirmations that occur as the Higher Self confirms it's presence.

Just a small personal viewpoint ...

    Namaste

( ... I doubt if I am Realised, but have the blessing of being shown small glimpses ... )

    dear brother...

i don't know how to answer this question. i have been thinking about it... and the answer still does not come... although perhaps i will have an "ah-ha" experience when i read your answer... and i look forward to that with delightful expectation. i agree with Ross...

    "Chop wood and carry water."

however i think that there is more here than meets the eye... so i keep looking.

when i was a studying music at MSU... i wrote a song that was entitled... "Child of the Universe." basically the song asked us who we are... and as i was reflecting upon those thoughts... i would conjecture a guess that the answer to this question lies in knowing "who we are". we are all Children of God... and have been created in love... but we have forgotten our birth... (many of us have... myself included... some remember...) We are taught that we will all go back to our Creator... and that there is a Judgment Day where we review all that has transpired in our lives. i know that i am just rambling here... and i apologize... but i will answer... that when a human being finally "comes to know... or realize oneself" it is simply a path of remembering... our birthright, our heritage... the Gift that we are...

and we rejoice! "La ilaha ill Allahu!"

Proverbs 8 discusses wisdom... and we read...

"Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth; While as yet He had not made the earth or the fields, or the primal dust of the world. When He prepared the heavens, I was there. When He drew a circle on the face of the deep, when He established the clouds above, when He strengthened the fountains of the deep, when He assigned to the sea its limit, so that waters would not transgress His command, when He marked out the foundations of the earth, then I was beside Him as a master craftsman; and I was daily His delight, Rejoicing always before Him. Rejoicing in His inhabited world, and my delight was with the sons of men.

very best wishes and warm regards...

i apologize for this lame response... xx

edit #1 from clue #1: answer comes from 3 wise monkeys:= see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil... (do no evil) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_wise_monkeys

edit #2 from clues #2 and #3: "the immediate response to these clues is that we die to ourselves... we take refuge in God Almighty... we return to our Source... by dying to ourselves... we become a servant and slave of the Most High... we return to our natural heritage as lambs of God... there is nothing left for 'us' to do... but as servants... 'we Do' the will of our LORD. best answer that i have to offer. thank you for this question beloved brother... xx salams.

Most people lack the wisdom to immediately recognize when they grow, spiritually or emotionally.

Sometimes, even the wisest of us do not recognize it. We tend to "take notice" when it is observed and reported to us by others.

We never spontaneously recognize it; it is more evolutionary than revolutionary, so we tend to realize it long after it has come to pass and we suddenly realize the difference between what we were and what we are.

The real key is to not get cocky about it when the realization happens.

That we are all part of something greater, and are inter-connected on many levels.

Once I tapped into Universal knowledge, I became enlightened and as a child at the same time.

    We are in lesson.

    We have done this before.

Most of us will do this again.

    Ecstasy!

Beyond Joy, beyond Bliss, what some call Divine Madness.

To fully know Self in Self Realization is to have Divine Union!

    Many Blessings!

    EDIT:

When one is Self Realized, all One witnesses is One, all One perceives is God in all because God is All. To have ultimate perception of Truth here, & Ultimate Wisdom in expression of that Truth.

    Blessings!

    Edit:

    Of course!

All is Self, there is no separation!

    Perception meets Reality.

    Ultimate Unity!

    Blessings!

    Edit:

LOL! My last edit I think!

The simple answer is you become a new creature. Some call it "Born Again", others "dying to self", & even others "Self Realized".

    Nothing remains the same.

    You are changed forever.

I can only speculate as I am not there!

    Many Blessings!

wow, i dont beleive IT`s not letting me write ha ha ha

well there must be some reason for that

but shiva says, dont seek nor chase this progressions

but indulge in the changes that your stage is bringing you now

this changes happens faster and faster

the speed, the levels, the progessions, the doors

it changes so fast at times there is no time to hold on to the experiance

but to become the very word of change itself

then you are one with it all, which is neither illusion nor reality but the way they are the moment they are presented to you

but here please use your own judgement as I would not like to waver you away from your spiritual path or away from Allah

maybe thats why It didnt let me write my actual knowledge hmmmmmmmmm

All praises goes to Lord Shiva

    All praises goes to ALLAH

All praises goes to The Lord of christ and the God of christ

All praises belongs to the Lord of Lords and the God of all Gods

I am nothing, I own nothing

I am not worthy of any praise

They realize they have doubt. They realize this life is just a test. They realize they are not perfect. They realize there are no rewards in this lifetime for maintaining faith, but they also realize what is true and what is a deception. They realize their faith has been blind up to that significant point. Well, this is what I realized, I can't speak for everyone else. ;-)
