yes it is a gift from God, we dont deserve it but its through His mercy that we received it

Yes, we can not earn by our own works, it is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ only we can receive the salvation of God.

Ephesians 2:8-9.

No, salvation is a realisation of your self through contemplation of the truth, not through faith in the myth you cite. God is NOT great, god is only an idea and a nasty one.
