Do you fear Death - No matter what your religious affiliations are - What do YOU THINK about Death?

Every human being has some sort of view on death regardless of their belief or non belief system.

Do you fear it?

**If so - why?

Do you NOT fear it?

**If not - why?

I am not asking what "god" says about death.

I am not asking what "logic" says about death.

I am asking what YOU have to say about death.

I don't fear death because I am a Christian, but I think everyone has some anxieties about the unknown. I also fear how I will die. Will it be quickly, or will I suffer for a long time before death? Death is part of living and I accept it as fact, but I'm anxious to take the next step and the most important step of all - into Heaven. Hope I see you there.

This was a tough question to answer. For me personally, I do fear death for many reasons. I don't think there is anyone who can say they have never worried about dieing and leaving this world behind. I fear death because it is the unknown... there is no evidence or ways to know more about it. All we know is it's a part of life and everything ends up dieing no matter how hard they try. That's what I'm scared of, not knowing what will happen. At the same time I embrace it because it's part of life. You know its inevitable and is one of those things you eventually either accept or run from. You can't live your life worrying about it but you can appreciate every second you have here. Yeah, I fear it but at the same time I try not to and appreciate everything I can and end up not fearing it.

I do not fear it as I have already had a good life (even if it has been short) and I believe I will be reincarnated again anyway. I think death is a natural part of the world as life cannot exist without it. It is built in your mind to fear death to some extent though as it is every human's base fear- the unknown (nobody can prove what happens after death because, well, you're dead and you can't talk!).

I fear death right now because I'm only 30 years old and my "to-do" list is still unfinished. I'm just now entering my prime, and my life has just begun. Once I accomplish all my goals, I will be less afraid of dying. In the meantime, I will do my best for humanity and sow good karma. That way I will leave the world a better place in my wake. I believe that death is a part of life and that everything either ascends into heaven or is reincarnated into another form of life.

I fear leaving this existence for the amount of people I will leave behind, but I don't fear the idea of death because I believe it is just a way station that I will inhabit for a while before returning to this plane for a whole new life.

I think most people if not everyone, including myself, has some fear of death. For me, its a fear of how I am going to die and the pain involved as well as leaving behind my family and such. So yes, i'm afraid of death itself. But after I lead a fulfilling life, I will be very happy to join God in heaven.

  • Death is a part of life and it happens to every living thing. There is no reason why we should be afraid. It's going to happen.

I'd say I might fear death if it weren't for natural causes. I don't ever want to lose to a disease or miss out on years I could have spent happily with my family. But if it is my time, then it's my time.

    I Never have feared death

Tough its hands were more destructive than weakness

My fear --however-- is dying in a land

    Which gravedigger's wage

    Than the man's freedom

    Is more

    Searching

    Finding

    And then

    Choosing of own free will

    And from your own

    Building a bulwark:

If death is worth more than these all

Deny, I deny that I ever feared death.

I do fear death a little bit - just because I'm still fairly young and there is a lot more in life I'd like to experience. But it is a natural part of the process, so I don't like to dwell on it too much.

I used to fear it, but the older I get the less fear I have, plus due to an experience I had helped take the fear away.

Death to me would be a deep sleep until what ever happens happens. The only pain would be leaving my loved ones behind.
