He looks like a basenjii mix to me, it has the right head shape. However, puppy breeds are often hard to tell, especially so young.
Since they are the rescue and they took him to the vet I would take their word at full value.

I'd say defiantly not a Basenji cross. It looks nothing like a Basenji. It looks to me like an Australian Shepherd mix maybe.

Looks like a collie mix, I could be wrong but thats what I think. It is cute and you are adopting it, so you must like the look of it, I am sure you will be happy no matter what the true origin is, I would say you should have many years of happiness with this dog, and no my name is not clare voent, but it is a dog I would love and not care what kind it is. Enjoy you puppy/

That dog looks nothing like a Basenji. They also say he looks like a large breed so I'm not sure where they're getting the Basenji from. Could be St. Bernard. Very cute pup! Thanks for adopting!

Basenji dogs are not big and not fluffy like this pup, so I see none of that breed in him at all.
He could have some Aussie or other herding breed in him, but one thing I know for sure he will steal your heart!
Enjoy!

I see no Basenji in that pup at all.
Based on what the ad says, he's a big pup. I'd even go so-far as to say he may have St Bernard in him. His markings are classic St. Bernard.
