my cat has soft mushy stools now blood?
My 1yr old cat has had some soft stools for quit sometime. He was put on medicine and a soft diet and that didn't help. Now he has blood in his stool. I know he needs to get to the vet but in the meantime what can I do for him and does anyone have any idea what is causing this?
Hi stools are also yellow and getting to the vet now before morning is not do able. So if you have any idea what I can do for him in the meantime to help him now would be appreciated.

It sounds like Coccidiosis. Get Albon from your vet and he should be better in a day or two.

What do you mean by "in the meantime" call your vet right now. Most vets will answer phone calls after hours. Talk to the vet now. Take him to the vet tonight or in the morning. Don't wait.

Your cat needs to see a vet immediately to diagnose him for internal parasites and to be given the proper worming medicine prescribed by your veterinarian.

Have you de-wormed him recently? My kitty had that too, and I give him mashed pumpkin or squash with his dry food. or try take his food away for 12 hours, then feed him boiled chicken with the mashed pumpkin or squash( must be boiled with no salt). It helped him a lot.
