It's with any noise ordinance. 10pm - 6am. The barking dog law pertains to dogs who annoyingly bark all day long during the day time.

You are not going to find a state law - this would be covered under municipal codes. Check with your city government to find if a nuisance law exists for barking dogs - or they may have a general noise-abatement law.
Just a thought - you might try approaching your neighbors first - let them know (non-confrontational as you can be) that their dog is barking at night. They may take action on their own. Also, you are probably going to have to be able to find a couple of other neighbors who are willing to say that the dogs are bothering them. Most "barking dog" laws require that there is more than one complainant.

your city should have ordinance laws on their web site. if not you can ask for a copy. you can leave a copy of the laws in the neighbors mailbox. Sometimes talking to the neighbors isn't enough and does not work because the neighbors are too ignorant. Maybe even visiting the residence to see if the dogs are ok or investigating the whole situation can rectify the problem. If the dogs live next door, spraying water at your side of the fence might work. Even in the air or in the trees. Sometimes even slamming or "slapping" a 2x4 or 4x4 on the back deck works.

In the mean time you can notify the police of the residence in violation if you have not already. The police will need an address.
wish ya luck

The owner of the dog needs to know how to "operate" the dog, same way you can get into a car that's in perfect running order but if you don't know how to drive you won't have much luck making the car go anywhere. If the owner doesn't know how to maintain the training, the dog will soon become untrained again. Read more here https://tr.im/thedogtrainer
People seem to think that once a dog is trained, that's it. Not true. You must reinforce the dog's training every single day in some way. It's best if the owner and the dog go together to get trained. As a professional trainer once said to me "We can train any dog in 2 days. It takes longer to train the owners

The deck is stacked against complainants. However, you have the following options:
1) Make contact with the owner and ask if they'll quiet their animal.
2) Document the interaction and the result.
3) After making an attempt, contact the authorities (probably won't do any good)
4) Hire an attorney that specializes in animal law and bring civil suit against the animal owner
5) Bypass 4-5 and just go sneak in to the yard and set the animal loose. Technically, this is against the law, but so is the disturbance. And if you're at this option, chances are, the owner isn't interested in taking responsibility and the law is over burdened to get involved in the enforcement of corrective action. If it's really so disturbing that you're looking for a way out, this is probably the best solution.

Its called a noise ordinance, and does not just apply to barking dogs.
You need to call the city or county where you live and ask....its different in different places.
Personally, if someones dog is barking all night, I go talk to the owner. Sometimes they dont even realize they are barking.

My bf and i are having the same issue with our neighbors....Their dogs bark constantly day and night. It has become a hassle because we have a 7yr old which cant sleep due to these disobedient dogs. Well we have since then discovered that in california we have the right to call animal control and they issue them a warning and if they do not comply they take it to another step. they give you a number to call if they don't comply. Good luck.

i think you would find here http://onlinedogtraining.enle.info/?X61B an amazing help! i am currently in the throes of training my new puppy, a german shepherd/alaskan malamute cross who is still just a baby..but i've grown up with dogs...had 2 border collies when i was just a kid.. my sister has a toy poodle, my brother has a lab, and my parents have a toy poodle and a yorkshire terrier/pomeranian cross and we lost a lab last august...
i live with my parents while i'm in school and my mom trained the dogs with Cesar's techniques.. they really do work! and that is what i'm training little Justice with... his techniques i have found more effective than a water spray bottle, rolled up newspaper, yelling or anything else!
my mom trained the lab we lost with the "Lead Training" that a trainer named John Wade taught us. You put the dog on a leash and put the leash around your ankle...wherever you goes, the dog goes and eventually, you can take the dog off for longer and longer periods of time... this works (as far as i understand) because in the end, you could be across the room and the dog will still think s/he is attached to you, therefore deterring any errant behaviour..
if you stick with it, are firm and keep a calm, but assertive, "pack leader" mentality, you will have your little terror :-) trained in no time!

I would tell the person that has the dogs and then if they don't stop the dog barking then you would tell the police.
