Would a Hairline Fracture on a rib need to be put in a cast?
I was just curious. If someone got a hairline fracture on a rib, would they be put in a cast, or just bound up and sent on their way? How is something like that handled?

No cast necessary. Hairline rib fractures heal fairly quick...like 2-3 weeks.

when my mom did that they put this foam wrap around her ribs. they can't really be casted, well they could but it would be much more severe.

the top of the metacarpal is often referred to as the knuckle. that's good splinted while that's strapped to its intact neighbouring finger. extra moderen splints supply extra freedom of stream however the soreness alleviation is nice with the only that grow to be given to you till now (as you have by potential of now observed).additionally moulding the aluminium splint isn't constantly good.
