I think i broke off a part of my kneecap.?
I was running, and I tripped and fell and slid on my right kneecap a few days ago. It hurt really bad and it was sore the next day and I thought it was just a bruise. Apparently it isn't just a bruise that will go away with time. It is numb on the part where I slid and I can wiggle a small piece of my kneecap around inside the skin. What would a doctor do for treating this? Is there surgery involved?

the best solution to your problem would be a consult with an orthopedic doc. they can tell you asap what your options are. i had knee issues, and going to an orthopedist was the smartest course i chose.
