I want to lose weight. I'm 13?

I'm 13 years of age and i am in first year in secondary school.

I'm a size 12-14. Most of the other girls in my year are a size 6/8. I am very paranoid about my body and mostly wear over sized clothes. I'm being bullied over my weight, and would like to lose a lot of weight to possibly be a size 8. I don't know how to do this. I know you can go on a diet and go exercising but i cant make a dramatic change or else my mum will notice. I am currently trying to starve my self and have not eaten in the last day and a half. Please if someone could help that would be great.

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.

If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which

will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow

underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without

exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For

diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food

after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on

your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If

you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey

cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your

diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to

calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,

start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the

most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a

lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,

disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target

your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a

bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you

to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

Starving yourself as I'm sure you will find out soon is not the answer. Your body just slows your metabolism way down so that you are only burning enough calories to function. You will not be able to keep this up for long I'm afraid. Then when you give in and start to eat again your body will store almost everything you eat as fat in case you decide to do this again! There is no secret to losing weight. Eat less (not starve!) and exercise more. I don't know why you are worried about your mum noticing? Surely she would be happy if were interested in keeping fit? Anyway, you need to eat a little less at every meal and do 45 mins of cardiovascular every day if you can. Ensure that your meals are well balanced between carbs, proteins and essential fats. Cardio can be brisk walking, cycling, jogging etc. Whatever you like to do. Also drink plenty of fresh water and get your rest. Do all of this and you will lose weight healthily and feel great for it. Starve yourself and you will end up sick and fatter than you are now. Choice is yours!

Don't starve yourself, it will only make it worst! Your body will actually keep the fat instead of burning it because it's suddenly not receiving any calorie. It's how a squirrel would keep a lot of food before winter because they know they can't hunt for them in the cold, our body have a defense mechanism that somewhat work like that.

Instead of starving yourself, eat your food but take down the intake. If it's just one plate of spaghetti, then enough. Don't eat junk food. More importantly, at your age, is to exercise.Do aerobics, take up karate or swimming or jog around the lawn. Be more active. It'll be tiring for awhile but after a weeks months, it'll be a breeze! You'll even have more energy for studying and have better skin(because exercise and less junk food give you radiant skin).

Why are you afraid that your mom will notice? I'm sure your mum will be glad that you are being more active. Tell her that you want to be healthier and have more energy.

Don't focus too much on sizes. You're still 13, your body is changing as we speak. Focus on being a teenager and healthy lifestyle.

    Good luck!

Just eat a healthy brekky like oats with sultanas in with low fat milk or soy milk and then for snacks maybe a piece of fruit, some nuts. For lunch a tortilla wrap with cucumber, tomato, lettuce, avocado, cheese, chicken (seared) ect; ( try not to put fatty foods in) , Dinner is optional but don't have takeaway foods for a while and try to not have lasagna or foods with lots of calories in them. Desert can be fruit with melted dark chocolate on the top (dark chocolate isn't really that bad.)You should always get at least 1 hour of exercise per day and drink heaps of water, even if you aren't thirsty. Do this everyday at least. You should only have at least one piece of sometimes food everyday which is like milk chocolate, lollys, icecream ect. You should always be cautious of what you eat at your age. Im only 14 and im starting to eat healthier foods and less junkfood and its helping my skin alot.

Though don't let those low life bitches make you feel self conscious about yourself. You sound fine, i think and those girls can get anorexic as much as they want your probably beautiful inside and outside anyway. DON'T STARVE YOURSELF. IF YOU DO THAT YOU WOULD PROBABLY EAT A HELL LOT OF FOOD AFTER AND WOULD BE THE SAME WEIGHT.

I think you should just focus on being a girl who loves life. Don't go on a diet just try and keep healthy. Good luck

Changing the foods you eat by the nutrition's and not just calories and having a workout is a hell lot better than starving yourself. I would say Anorexia is dramatic and its deadly if it goes too far. There are men and women who have had to gone to Clinics to try to change their life pattern because they went with starving themselves. Don't do it its a horrid way to try to fit in.

starving yourself will have the opposite effect and you'll gain weight, just eat healthy lots of fruit and vegetables, lean meats and complex carbs like brown rice and oatmeal and lots of water, and go for a walk everyday and remember it takes time so be patient. and those people who tease you are just insecure and tease you to make themselves feel better, so eat healthy and exercise and you'll be the one laughing eventually.
