If Jehovah God or Jesus speaks to us personally, why do we need the Bible?
I've heard some say that Jesus speaks to them, or God spoke to me. If that is the case why did Jehovah give us the Bible.

Satan turns himself into a angel of light, those that are his appear as angels of light. True christians know that the Bible is God's way he speaks to them. People that are physic, gaze at stars, Devin healers, people that say they speak to God or have visions are not receiving this from the true God. His Bible states that all of these will be done away with when the last of the Apostles died, we are told that the way true christians could be identified by the love among them. Not imperfect man, we make mistakes daily, how the love is shown is defined in the two greatest commandments shown at Mark 12:29-31.
All other things come from Satan.
Showing love for your neighbor is teaching them about how they can save their lives and live forever right here on earth, that's what the Bible teaches, this can be proved in any Bible.
All things different are from the Devil, 1 John 5:19 shows that Satan is the the one that controls this earth, he started his deceit with Eve & still is deceiving mankind today. He uses his powers to make people think there dealing with God. The Bible, "God's Word", says that he does not deal with mankind in this manner. What he uses is his power, his active force, his Holy Spirit. This is how God communicates with his people.
Satan has people believing the Holy Spirit is one third of a triune godhead, this is just one more lie that Satan has deceived mankind with.
Man lost his direct communication with God when Adam chose Satan over Jehovah, now we can only communicate to God through his Son Jesus, there will be a time when Satan, his demons, wickedness, false religion, and world government will be no more, then Matt 6:9, the start of the Lords prayer where it says let your Kingdom come to earth as it is in heaven(Dan 2:44)
If you think you can speak to God, read the stars, predict the future, be a divine heel-er, or that Gods speaks to you, you are being deceived by Satan.
For those that want to learn in the Bible where this is shown email me & tell me what translation of the Bible you have, I would Love to show you what your Bible says.

In the Bible it was extremely rare for Jehovah God or Jesus to speak personally and directly with people.

God speaks to us through the Bible, through the words of his Son and the prophets and apostles.
However, to understand his word, we need the holy spirit ans association with true Christians.
Jehovah's Witnesses beliefs at a glance:
Mankind did not evolve but was created.
God’s personal name is Jehovah. (Yahweh, some translations)
Jesus is the Son of God, but is inferior to him.
Not every passage of the Bible can be interpreted literally.
You need not be a Jehovah’s Witness to obtain salvation.
Christmas and Easter are not celebrated because of their pagan roots.
The most important holiday is the commemoration of Christ’s death.
God will establish a kingdom on Earth, bringing ideal living conditions in paradise.
Some faithful humans go to heaven, the majority are resurrected to the Paradise
The wicked will be eternally destroyed.

Jehovah gave us his Word, the Bible, and through it he speaks to us. Through the gospel accounts we have the life and ministry of his Son, Jesus Christ. If we take the time to read and study the Bible, we are listening to God, as he inspired the 40 or so humans who actually wrote down what he wanted us to know.
For anyone who supposedly "hears" God or Jesus speaking to them, I suggest therapy and medication.

The Bible is supposed to be a guide. It's supposed to supplement, not substitute for, God's voice in our hearts, which we are supposed to seek out through prayer and interaction with others.
The problem is that some people worship the Bible instead of the God it speaks about.

Everyone doesn't recognize/know the Spirit, and the Bible is available to us all, so we can learn about God and Jesus, and share with everyone.

good question, especially since "the finished mystery" claims that pastor russell heard the voice of god directly, and dictated to him the contents of chapter 9 volume 3.
the bible is the standard with which we can measure other messages to see if they originate from god. god has given us identifying marks which distinguish his message from other sources. he has authenticated his message through fulfilled prophecy.
for instance, a prediction from god must come true. if it does not, it is from a different source - the flesh, or satan.
since god is not contradictory, all messages must line up with what the bible really teaches, or it is from another source.
so when muhammad hears a voice from god which says "far be it from god to have a son", comparing with scripture, we know it is from a different source. it was an angel of light that strangled him in his cave.
and if joseph smith gives us a divine translation of the book of abraham, claiming god to be a space alien from the planet kolob, he is bringing a different god.
if ellen g white says armageddon will come before the people sitting with her die, then either there's some 150 year old people around, or she's a false prophet with a different message.
so if the watchtower claim to be the sole communication channel from god to man, an ezekiel (jeremiah and john) class "prophet" so mighty that christendom will have to know that a prophet is amongst them when god destroys them in 1914, 1918, 1925, or 1975, an unbiased person can easily see that they fall short of the mark and therefore, do not speak for god.
sorry that we fail to die on cue when the watchtower says we should. but you know, if they did speak for god, we'd be birdseed right now.

We speak to Got in prayer.
God speaks to us in the Bible.
Works pretty good.

The Bible is God's written word. Sometimes God speaks to us directly, sometimes through others, sometimes through nature and sometimes (we've found frequently) speaks to us through His word. God gave us His word so that we can learn to love and live His way of life.
To answer your question, we want to hear God however He speaks.
