A lot of men have this fantasy. In truth it is too confusing and it is impossible to pay enough attention to either woman. I think that it is more of a fantasy, but in reality it is not nearly as much fun as one might think.

There is evidence of a biological basis for the seeking out of multiple sex partners by both sexes. The male wants to instinctively spread his seed, and if possible, not be responsible for providing for the resulting offspring. This propagates the species and enhances species survival by adding to genetic diversity, and/or natural selection (survival of the fittest). Some males may not want to invest their resources in another man’s offspring, which is indicated in the statistics regarding stepfather on stepchild crime. Most wild animal males have a tendency to kill the offspring of other males, once they assume the alpha male role.

The females get to be the gatekeepers to the womb, since they own them. They try to select good providers, or else there will be no propagation of the species. A male that displays the ability and willingness to be a provider would enhance his chances of being allowed to mate; and, alternatively, the strong and healthy dominant male also appears capable of producing strong and healthy children. The females may stray from the dominant male, without his knowledge, which allows the gene pool to avoid in-breeding. But, if the human female becomes indiscriminant in her selection of those with sexual access, she risks the security of her future offspring, and gets labeled as an undesirable mate.

Since the female is equipped to feed the new born, the continued responsibility for the offspring seems logical. And that is also consistent with the male having evolved with greater upper body strength to defend the clan and kill prey. If the male leaves the child rearing to the female, he is free to spend his time hunting, seeking other sexual liaisons, or sitting in front of the TV with a beer; and causing the wife to complain about how she has to work 40 hours a week, the same as the man, but is assumed to still be responsible for the home and kids.

Why do heterosexual men want to have 'intimate relationship' with two (or more, if the truth be known) females?--Well then ¿Why--when they already have a wife or girlfriend willing at any time to perform any perverted sex act they can think of--do men sometimes like to take a shemale porno magazine into the bathroom with them, and lock the door, and masturbate, all by themselves?--BECAUSE THEY DO.

I'm bi but have been monogamous since my husband and I got serious to the point of talking about getting married, even though he's cool with it (and would be turned on by it) if got some pussy now and again, especially if he could watch lol.

His fantasy isn't so much about being with two women (back in those days, he didn't usually join in, just liked to watch me, and when he did join in, he only engaged with me, not the other girl) as watching them, though. He just finds it sexy to watch two good-looking women. Lots of guys do.

As to why they find that sexy, well, why doesn't anyone find anything sexy? Very hard to say. We just do. Part of it, I suppose, is that most straight guys aren't really that interested in watching other guys with erections, and watching two women solves that problem for them.

Brian is correct. One is great more would be awesome. But, your question is flawed. I know plenty of women who would also like to have two men. Explain that one to me. Is it the same for them as it is for hetero men? More is better?

no its a fantasy for men who are straight to want 2 women, but being gay, we are more up there. its not hard for us to get two men in the bed ;) so its basically nothing new!

to put it bluntly...and i hope this isn't smart mouthed..cause it aint supposed to be...but aint it a bit obvious...?? it's more fun, more enjoyable...a fantasy?! and some men just prefer two over one.. :) not that i would know...this is more a guess than an answer... :D
