Bruised Vein after blood test?

I got a blood test done Wednesday to check for Rhuematoid Arthritis. On the Thursday morning I noticed the vein was slightly bruised and yesterday the vein was very black and blue and there was even a couple of bruises forming around my elbow and just the general area around it. The bruise up the vein is going up roughly about 3 inches. It is also fairly sore to touch.

Should I have a cause for concern or is it ok?

I bruise dreadfully easily - some do and some don't. Also depends a little on the skill of the test taker!

You're probably okay. I'd ice it if I were you. Some people bruise and some don't.

It is one of the common sequellae of blood tests and will settle on its own.
