a female dog is still called a *****...unless she has a litter....the mother of the litter is called a "dam" and the father is called the "sire"

Whenever people call me a b*tch I just laugh at them. The proper name for a female dog is b*tch, but people have disrespected this name by using it improperly. What many people don't know is that the word dog actually refers to a male of the domestic canine.

Male: Dog

Female: B*tch

Father: Sire

Mother: Dam

In the same way as humans are referred to as 'man', canines are referred to as 'dog'. This can be considered sexist, but it is really up to your opinion.
