Good Crock pot Recipe?

I am looking for good crock pot recipes that are fairly simple. I am a busy mom and I love to be able to cook with the crock pot.

Thank you!

Put a gammon joint in the put and cover it with Coke or Cherry Coke and cook on low for 10-12 hours.

This is not a joke, the meat tastes sweet and tender and will keep in the fridge for days after so you can have gammon sandwiches, gammon egg and chips etc

When I was commuting long hours and working long days I used this recipe a lot.

    Crock Chicken

One large frying hen, cut into parts and skinned, or an equivalent amount of skinned thighs.

four large Russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 2 inch dice.

one yellow onion, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch dice

three stalks celery, washed and cut into 2 inch pieces

three cups chicken broth, water, or apple cider

    1/4 cup white wine (optional)

Place the crock pot on a level surface. Cover the bottom with the potato dice, onions, and celery.

Pile the skinned chicken pieces on top of the potatoes. Pour in liquid(s) to cover the chicken pieces.

Set heat to low, go away for 8 hours. Do not open the lid during that time.

Just before serving, use a slotted spoon to remove all of the chicken parts. Pick out the bones. Stir the meat back in. Sprinkle in fresh or dried herbs to taste.

Serve in a bowl with fresh bread and a green salad.

I love my crock pot too, If you like ribs you can try this, broil them first for about 7 mins each side, that is the hardest part just to get off excess fat, then place in crock pot, add 1 bottle your favorite BBQ sauce and 1 large sliced onion. Stir well, Put lid on and cook on high 4 to 6 hours or low 8 to 10 hours.Very tender. Heres another! /// A great Rump Roast (or roast of your choice) 1/4 tsp salt, 2 tsp olive oil, 2 sliced onions, 4 cloves chopped, 1/2 tsp dried thyme, 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee, 1-2 tblsp Balsamic vinegar. Season beef with s&p, heat 1 tsp olive oil on medium heat 5-7 minutes each side (heavy skillet is best), this is to seal in your juices, then put in crock, add other tsp olive to pan add onions, med cook 5 to 7 mins, then add garlic and thyme for 1 min, add coffee and vinegar, simmer min or 2. Cook 4 1/2 to 5 hrs on high. FYI...the strong coffee breaks up the tendons of fat and this too will fall apart when your done!! ///Chicken in a pot..2 sliced carrots, 2 sliced onions, 2 celery stalks w/ leaves cut in 1 inch pieces, 1-3 lb whole broiler/fryer chicken, 2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp coarse black pepper,1/2 cup chicken broth, 1 tsp dried basil. Put carrots, onions and celery in bottom of crock, add whole chicken,. Top with s&p and broth. Sprinkle basil over top. Cook low 8 to 10 hours, if you cook on high increase broth to 1 cup and cook for 4 to 5 hrs. Hope this makes your life easier and enjoy!!
