cat stuck up a tree. what should a person do.?
Its not my cat but a neighbor was asking if anyone had a ladder this morning. A little cat was up his tree. The cat and my neighbor are gone now.
So I am just curious whats the best thing to do.
My own cat is quite old and stays indoors.

Cats always find their way down a tree. Leave them alone -- is my advice.
I know people who tried to get a cat down from a tree by using a ladder. They scared the cat & it took a leap or a fall from a high branch and injured itself permanently.
I've had cats for ten years and (because of what happened to the cat I just told you about), I have let my cats find their own ways down -- no matter how young or old -- and they always do.
Cats were born for climbing trees -- and they love high places -- and, it takes some practice, sometimes, to get good at it. I'm really appalled to think people think cats can't get down from trees on their own! And, did you ever think they might "want" to be up there? (I'll bet they are annoyed, most often, that they aren't being left alone to enjoy some peace.)
So, again, I suggest you let them be. ;)

If ur cat gets stuck up in a tree and she doesn't come down after 24 hours on its own, then u need to start using some of these tricks:
1. Gett food and tap it with a fork
2. Call its name while tapping the tree
3. Climb a little bit of the tree
And if they really wont come down get a ladder, please dont waste ur time on the fire department, by the time they get to ur house the cat might have come down anyway. Besides, why do u need their ladder if u can get one off ur own? Its not like their cat experts. Odds are they will try to give up sooner than u do.
But it doesn't sound like ur cat it the tree climbing tipe, but if it does happen just read this again.
Hope i helped!

If a cat is able to climb a tree, he's able to unclimb a tree.
There's no documented record of a cat falling out of a tree and killing himself.
The reason he looks so frightened is all those humans on the ground
pointing and yelling at him.

Hi, if the cat really can't get back down and if they have tried coaxing it down with food.
Or don't have a tall enough ladder.
Then the only option is to call the fire brigade.
They have rescued many cats.
As long as they are not busy, they will usually come out to do it.

Leave the cat alone. It will figure out how to get down itself. I've never seen any dead cats in trees. Have you?

Call you fire department. They've done this before.
