Why do my fingers and toes sometimes contract?
Sometimes, my fingers and toes contract on their own and it feels uncomfortable and a little painful and I will have to try to flex my fingers or toes in order to make it stop. Is this normal? I'm 19 and am relatively healthy. I asked my mom once and she said not to worry about it but last night I was woken up by my fingers contracting. I could see the muscle in my hand bump up a tiny bit through my skin. It freaked me out because it hadn't happened in a really long time.

It sounds like it could be a potassium deficiency.
I would talk to your Dr. about this and look into suplements for Potassium. Do not take too many, too much is worse than too little.
Eat a couple bananas, take some supplements, but most important, SEE YOUR DR.
Best of luck
