why does everyone hate cats?

Stop making harsh generalizations. Just because the majority of the people you know prefers dogs doesn't mean the whole world "hates" cats. I personally find them fine, as I have two pet cats myself. My friends are all both cat and dog lovers. Dogs are definitely more fun, but each animal has different advantages.

Everyone does not hate cats. Most people like them and some people love them.

You are completely wrong saying that "all cats do is eat and sleep". They engage in many different activities throughout an average day.

One of mine for example woke me up at 5:30 to let me know it was morning. Once I was up he raced to the kitchen and up onto the counter to remind me where the food was.

After eating and using the litter box he spent a good 30 minutes alternately wrestling with his sister then engaging in a rigorous game of tag.

He supervised me washing dishes by standing on the edge of the kitchen sink.

Later, he was at the the bathroom sink which I had left half full of water. He was playing with a peanut in its shell. These are favorite toys of his. He carries them to water and drops them in then tries to fish them out again.

I opened all the windows because it was a warm day and he was in a window watching my next door neighbor clean out his garden.

That is all in a few hours and I am sure I left a lot out. I certainly wasn't watching him all morning.

Cats DO sleep quite a bit compared to many other animals but that is not because of laziness. All species of cats need a lot of "down time" to conserve resources for the intense bursts of activity they have while awake.

Because cats, unlike dogs, are not *** kissers. I have known some great dogs. I am hardly an old granny, since I am a young male.

Cats do a great deal more than sleeping and eating. They also play and love it when their humans play with them. My cats groom me.

Many people love cats more than they do humans, understandably. It is only some that hate them and I would not want to be around such persons. Cats d more than eat and sleep. They can save your live in a fire or if a burglar breaks in, get rid of rodents and warn you if harm is coming. They can be taught tricks and canopen doors. Most of all they cangive love, unconditionally.

Well a cat allergy is usually more common than a dog allergy. Also, cats are gross because they go to the bathroom in your house. Most people put their litter box in their bedroom, the bathroom or the kitchen. That to me is disgusting. They live dander, which dogs do as well. Cats can be sneaky and devious, where as dogs are generally affectionate to everyone. Cats can scratch pretty harshly and some will bite.

My experience is quite different. The only people I know that hate cats have never had cats and have terrible misconceptions about them. I know several people that hated cats until they met one, and then they were converted.

THEY PLAY, THEY ARE CHEEKY, THEY HUNT, THEY RUN, THEY GET INTO MISCHIEF, THEY FIGHT, THEY BALANCE ON THINGS GIVE PRESENTS TO OWNERS, GIVE YOU COMPANY AT NIGHT, THEY ARE AWESOME. BY THE WAY I'M NOT A GRANNY! LOTS OF PEOPLE LOVE CATS! MOST PEOPLE PREFER DOGS BECAUSE THEY ARE USE TO THEM AND BORN WITH THEM AND DON'T EVEN GIVE CATS A CHANCE MOST OF THE TIME. JUST BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE HATES CATS THEY AGREE WITH THEM! I LOVE CATS I WAS BORN WITH THEM AND DOGS CAN BE SCARY WHEN THEY ATTACK BUT AT LEAST I GIVE THEM A CHANCE!

LOTS OF CAT PEOPLE DON'T TALK ABOUT DOGS HARSHLY BUT DOG OWNERS TEND TO TALK ABOUT HOW BAD CATS ARE. WHAT DOES THIS SAY ABOUT MOST DOG LOVERS?!

I love cats. I have 21 housecats and 11 cats living in my garage. I take in strays and give them a home. There are lots of people who love cats,

Where are you meeting these people? Everyone in my household is under 40, and we all love cats. (The cats know this; I have ten, because they keep showing up homeless on my doorstep.)

I personally heart cats! I think they are great, they don't beg, you have to win their affection,and the sleep a lot...an animal after me own heart lol
