What is wrong with helping the rich?

I've read people saying that the rich shouldn't be helped. What's wrong with trying to help everybody, rich or poor?

Limited resources. Most Americans do NOT want tax breaks for the rich right now. We can't afford them.

Warren Buffet, Ben Cohen, Bill Gates, etc. say No to tax cuts. The rich have been doing exceptionally well during this recession. In contrast:

    Feeding America: Hunger Report 2010.

Because we have so many Americans losing their homes and going to bed hungry. They desperately need our help. The wealthy don't. It's not just Dems. Most Americans don't want more tax breaks for the wealthy and most of the wealthy say they don't want them either.

    - Feeding America is annually providing food to 37 million Americans, including 14 million children. This is an increase of 46 percent over 2006, when we were feeding 25 million Americans, including 9 million children, each year.

    - One in eight Americans now rely on Feeding America for food and groceries.

    - Feeding America's nationwide network of food banks is feeding 1 million more Americans each week than we did in 2006.

    - Thirty-six percent of the households we serve have at least one person working.

    - More than one-third of client households report having to choose between food and other basic necessities, such as rent, utilities and medical care.

    - The number of children the Feeding America network serves has increased by 50 percent since 2006.

quite, I believe distinctive the previous comments. I won't deny that there are various Christians who think of that being a Republican a fashion or the different makes you a greater proper follower of Jesus.. which somewhat isn't authentic. right here is the priority along with your question however. a million) many human beings have no concept what the Republican or the Democrat or the Libertarian or the (you get the factor) events truthfully stand for. and a couple of) you're being US-centric, there are Christians worldwide, and distinctive of them does no longer be Republicans in the event that they have been interior the U. S.. i'm a Christian, and that i do think of that this may be a foul representation of the Christian faith. As to the taxing the wealthy element, i do no longer think of that has a concerning Christianity. no count number if we are taxed or no longer we are talked approximately as to furnish the undesirable and needy (so if somebody is against severe taxes, I say properly, effective despite :/) yet i think of there has been some distortion of the Christian message in united statesa. via fact maximum human beings stay such dang delicate lives. They (and that i) don't be conscious of what it capacity to be persecuted and oppressed, and for this reason, distinctive the message of justice and desire is kinda lost on human beings. That mentioned, I too might probable call myself a Republican, yet i do no longer think of that forestalls me from looking after the undesirable and needy on my own.

Well I am not rich and the job that I have working 8 hours a week doesn't pay very much.8 months ago I was laid off from my full time job as an accounting clerk at a credit union. I have two children and I am a full-time student in Respiratory Care trying to make life a little bit better for me and my children. I need all the help I can get until I am able to get it on my own. I don't want to be on government assitance for the rest of my life, but I have children and I need it until I finish school and find me a better career. I know that some rich people feel as though they shouldn't have to pay to help out people like me, but when you have enough money to pay maids and drivers, and buy 2 and three different homes in 2 different states....I don't see why it hurts for your money to help someone like me. I'm not someone who wants to live like this believe me I want better for myself and especially for my children. I believe in helping everybody, but some people need it way more than others.

Let me guess. You have never worked a day in your life. Please tell me you are 5 years old and it is past your bed time. Do it for my sanity. The rich do not need to be helped, because they are rich. The tax cut for the rich is for people that make over $250,000. $250,000 is a great deal of money little boy. People can work 80 hours a week in my state for 52 weeks and make less than $35,000. It is even lower in other states. Now have your parents read you a bed time story.

It's been my experience in life that the people with money want to keep it too themselves. They want to keep the rest of us down. I used to manage a business in los angeles and it really bugged with some of the well to do customers. They would argue over spending an extra 10 dollars for something.

And where I live the house is all run down and we have no heat in the winter but the owner all she does is complain about how high the water and Electric bill is. She is has money but refuses to spend it to make things better for us.

I like the rich. If any are reading this: thank you. I could not have made it without you. I do not come close to deserving the tax breaks you give me-I should be paying more and you should be paying less. I wish you the best at fighting those that want to hurt you. I have confidence that the same talents and intelligence that made you rich will also be handy in keeping one step ahead of those that would hurt you.

There's nothing wrong with it, but if one wants to destroy a Capitalist system, one must destroy the job providers and creators of that system (the Rich), sorta of like cutting the head off the snake, to make it harmless````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````

The rich don't exactly need much help since they can afford most of the life needs: food, water, shelter, a PS3 w/ a full HD 3d LED Plasma TV with Bose speakers (I don't think it's possible)...

People who say that are clueless about the facts. 50% of all wage earners pay 85% of all income taxes. The bottom 50% pay just 3%. There is not a single poor person that creates jobs. People with money create jobs. High income earners already pay the highest rate of income taxes.

I'm sick and tired of the uneducated who think the rich are bad.

We do not need to help the rich. They can take care of there selves. But taking from the rich to redistribute there wealth is wrong. They worked for what they have and taken it is stealing. We can hate them all day long if we want, but we can not steal from them.
