Is this against my religion?
The first command reads... "I am the Lord your God and you shall have no other gods before me."
So God states there is only one God and place NOTHING before him. So when it comes time to cast a vote for a leader, is it against my Christian religion to vote for an elected official? America's last election had 39% of Americans not voting for anyone. And honestly I think I want the right to vote on current issues by Majority rules for a type of government instead of elected officials.

Most definitely. Voting for a person before God is ethically/morally wrong. The Bible teaches that all people will know God when they "see" him/her. Casting a vote is like casting lots you don't know what's in another persons heart. Why gamble with God on the first commandment? Why place another human before yourself? Everybody tends to wonder "Am I God?" But you know for a fact Barak Obama is not God. So why would people vote for a person to guide them blindly?

In Democracy elections are conducted to chose the leader of government, you do not vote and elect your God. Even in the Bible there are elected leaders to govern or to lead.

Nah, it's not against your religion.
A leader is not neccesarily a god. Humanity mustn't preside in anarchy.

Dude, your religious beliefs and your political beliefs are two very different things. Although it isn't uncommon for people to let their religious beliefs influence their political beliefs.
