Has anyone taken the ACT (Athletic Certification Training Commission) online exam?

I have the stuff to take it, have looked it over and taken some of the practice exams. They really arent that hard, but some of it is stuff I already knew due to being a paramedic. I got the pro package and really dont even recall what the difference was lol. I think it had more to do with the testing, if you failed you got a better rate on the next one with the pro package.

They arent NCAA certified yet, although they are in process of doing that now. I only decided to do it so that if i wanted to make a little side money training someone Id have a certificate and insurance. I never and still dont have any intention to work in a gym. I just like working out and i like to help people get going on it. If someone wants to pay me then Im ok with that lol.

Untill they are NCAA certified I doubt alot of gyms will take it seriously. I did read in the forums there where some people were getting hired due to this certification but were being required to take another one that is NCAA recognized. *** far as the studying, ive been watching the power point stuff they do on site and then referring to the book only when i need to. I will admit there are some parts of it that i need to use the book for, some of it I already know from other education so dont really need the book as much.

Yes and no. I am currently studying for my PMP as well, and didn't take PMP certification training. I did take Project Management in Business School a few years ago, and that counted for required formal PM education. PMP certification training, depending on where you do it, may or may not be recognized by PMI as sufficient PM training (but probably will be). The place it will be MOST useful is preparing you for the exam. I am home-studying for the exam currently and I wouldn't mind having a classroom to learn more tricks on how to pass the PMP exam.
