What does He who is without sin..Cast the first stone..Mean?

To all of my brothers and sisters in Christ..

What does He who is without sin, cast the first stone mean to you?

Does it mean only "certain types" of sin?

If so please show me scripture in the New Testament?

Or did Jesus mean "all kinds" of sin?

Ask yourself, why did I leave my first Love (Jesus) and go back to judging others?

Are we not to pray for those that despitefully use us?

Are we to repay evil for evil?

Or are we to repay evil with Love..

How can we call ourselves Christians (Christ-Like) and see our fellow men in need and not help them?

How can we sit in judgment of someone, without even knowing them?

How can we say we Love God (whom we have not seen) and yet say all kinds of evil against people (whom we have seen)?

When we can "truly Love one another", as "Jesus Loved us" (unconditionally)..

Only then do we have the right, to call ourselves the children of the Living God..

In Jesus Most Precious Name..

With Love..In Christ.. :o)

((((((( Godsproblemchild )))))))

You said: We have the right to be the children of God by faith in the free gift of life that Jesus gave us on the cross we do not earn the right to be the children of God it is given freely to those who believe.

John 15

8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

12 ¶ This is my commandment, That ye love one another, Joh. 13.34 ; 15.17 · 1 Jn. 3.23 · 2 Jn. 5.1--0.1 as I have loved you.

It is not just by Faith alone..

James 2

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18 ¶ Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will s

Who are you talking to specifically?

Because it sounds like you have a problem with your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Pray for us that is what the Lord said to do.

Fault finding is not for either of Us to do

  • It's Jesus taking a part of Judaism and pretending that he thought it up. In order to show that he was, erm, better than Jews. Who thought up the idea he stole in the first place. Yet again.

I know it's fashionable for Christians to think that 1st century Jews were stoning people as common practice, but the truth is that there were so many restrictions around capital trials that the death penalty was pretty much impossible to use. The character of the witnesses was part of that, they had to be impeccable.

Source(s): Love thy neighbour is a paraphrase of the great sage Hillel who died in 10 CE. He was working from a verse in Deuteronomy. What isn't in Judaism is the idea that you can be tortured for eternity for getting your metaphysics wrong.

Jesus said that because he knew the hearts of the men that came to stone the woman were as guilty of having sin as she was. So they felt the condemnation of their own hearts and couldn't stone the woman and dropped the stones and left. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. So this meant all matter of sin! Do you not know that as long as we are in the flesh we are living in sin? Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. We shall all carry sin as long as we are in this earthly vessel until the glorious appearing of Jesus in the air. Then we that are alive and remain shall be changed in a moment and in a twinkling of an eye and be with the Lord forever and ever

At the appropriate execution of anyone found guilty of a capital crime it was the most spiritually mature that was called on to cast the first stone. The only one qualified in that group in John 8 was Jesus. He was without sin.

Jesus had asked if anyone else who had not committed a sin throw the first stone. No one did because there weren't any perfect humans in that crowd other than the Saviour Himself.

Jesus was telling the Jews there when they bought the women found in the act of adultery to try Him and they said by the Law because of what she did she was to be stoned and seeing if Jesus would do anything , he just kept writing in the sand never looking up and said " Ye that is without sin cast the first stone "....and as you can read they all departed from the eldest to the youngest.....and then Jesus looked up and said "Woman where is thine accusers ?" and she said " I have known Lord " and then Jesus said "neither do I condemn thee , Go and Sin No more ".................

    Its self explanatory

He did not tolerate her sin nor excuse it away, He was telling her He forgave and to never do it again....that's the Truth behind that fact of scripture.

The problem is people use that and a few others to say they can do whatever and live whatever and God will overlook it...that is NOT what Jesus said nor taught and He NEVER preached tolerance of sin nor those that do it !!

and YOUR statement (Ask yourself, why did I leave my first Love (Jesus) and go back to judging others? ) is NOT scriptural...WE as it is written ARE to Judge with Righteous Judgment and use the Word as the guide..what ? No ye not WE shall Judge angels and YOU can not Judge such small matters as these ? I speak to YOUR shame.......its time Gods people READ the Word and accept it as IT is written not what they assume or what they deem is right...again its self explanatory and needs no help .

Especially trying to teach tolerance and God is Love so look the other way agenda that seems to be what the Hirelings teach to tickle ears.....ITS NOT OF GOD !!!

WE are to WARN , BOTH the wicked and the righteous of sin and to Openly tell them ...not say its ok God loves you anyway..that's a lie.....

God said ;Eze 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die ; and thou givest him not warning , nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way , to save his life ; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity ; but his blood will I require at thine hand .

Eze 3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked , and he turn not from his wickedness , nor from his wicked way , he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul .

The Problem is people are so worried about offending someone they refuse to telll them the Honest Truth and speak Gods word to them and WARN them what they are doing is wrong and NOT of God.....Jesus Spoke openly and honestly to all and did NOT spare anyone......and they sought to kill Him because of it....Are we any better then our Lord ? I think not...as He did as Our example so are we to do....and Cry aloud and spare not......even if they get angry, offended or attack us, and persecute us, we shall count it all joy to suffer for His Name sake.

"Judge not, that ye be not judged?" This verse of Scripture from Matthew 7:1 is often quoted out of context by people who are terrified at the idea of someone preaching against sin or pointing out any form of error in anyone, especially in themselves.

As for Matthew 7:1, the context (verses 1-5) allows judging after you have first judged YOURSELF. Jesus did not make a blanket statement against judgment. He simply pointed out a RULE for judging.

God EXPECTS His people to judge. In fact, you are sinning against God if you refuse to judge! (Read that again, please)

"The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment." (Psa. 37:30) A righteous person will talk of judgment. He will not REFUSE to judge. He will talk judgment.

"Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph." (Amos 5:14-15) How can you hate the evil and love the good if you refuse to judge? You can't. You are SINNING when you refuse to judge.

Our generation is well described in Isaiah 59:8: "The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace." People have refused to judge, so there is no peace.

Paul said in I Corinthians 1:10 to ". . . be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." Why would Paul make such a statement if judging is wrong? In I Corinthians 2:15 Paul says, "But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man." Judging is not a sin; judging is a characteristic of being a spiritual person! Satan has been lying to us, hoping that we will NOT judge, because he knows that the right kind of judgment PLEASES God and betters our lives and Christian service.

Someone says, "But should we judge PEOPLE?" Yes, we certainly should. Paul actually REBUKES the Corinthians for NOT judging: "Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?" (I Cor. 6:1-5) If judging is wrong, then Paul needs to confess and repent for misleading these Christians! He clearly told them to JUDGE PEOPLE.

If judging people is wrong, how can we obey Romans 16:17-18? II Corinthians 6:17? II Timothy 3:5-6? I John 4:1? Friend, if judging is wrong, then God has contradicted Himself and His words cannot be trusted!

Notice Malachi 3:18: "Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not." WOW! Does that sound like it is wrong to judge?

What about Revelation 2:2? " I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:" Why would the Lord be pleased with these Christians if judging was wrong? Is it not impossible to find someone a "liar" without judging them?

If the Bible is clear about anything, it is clear about the importance of judging on a regular basis in order to properly serve and honor God. To ignore this fact is to ignore all of the Scripture just presented and also the rest of the Bible. God expects us to judge.
