What is a good ankle brace for support?

I used to work for Aircast in R&D designing their ankle braces and walking boots, and have since struck out on my own designing a brace from everything I learned there.

But before I pitch how wonderful my brace is, Have you done PT to rebuild your proprioception? If you haven't done PT, I wrote several blog articles on exercises to rebuild proprioception I got from Tim the PT who helped me design the final brace.

Proprioception literally means "knowledge where your body is" and it helps prevent future injuries in the future. These exercises also help build strength which also helps prevent future injuries.

I really like the adiZero SpeedWrap, or adidas SpeedWrap.

They're kind of a hybrid between the big bulky hard braces, and those looped braces(McDavid, ASO), taking the best of both, a lot of support with a TPU shank, but not a restricted feel.

There are a few great ankle braces out there it all depends on your price range. The Donjoy ankle brace is a great comfortable ankle brace for a decent price. if you are looking for something more on the higher end the Bauerfeind MalleoTrain is a great great brace.
