Regular strawberries are sprayed several times with insecticide. Due to their small size, there is, in ratio, to size, a large area sprayed. There is also time from being picked to sitting out at the market. Therefore, omitting strawberries should not be a problem. Thinking in an old fashioned way, that is, making the same high fat product as a vehicle for consumption of that fruit, is not the best choice.
For healthful eating, think of a new way to conceptualize food. Ask about every choice, "Is this promoting good health and digestion?" Then, learn a new way to purchase and prepare food. Many books (not food entertainment shows) provide healthy recipes. Two fruit examples are avocados and tomatoes. These are used in salads, but are fruit. Organic spinach with organic strawberries dressed in olive oil and Balsamic vinegar is a delicious salad, not sweet but savory. Think more of health benefits than taste. Then, develop your palate. Allow a decade or so for this change over. Eat the opposite of what is advertised.
There are no screaming pitchmen for broccoli or blueberries. Yet, these are super foods. This means, no low fat ice cream. If using yogurt, buy plain with living cultures. Omit added sugar and/or corn syrup in any prepared products. Just don't buy those. Eat an apple and orange per day, cut up and plain. Develop a taste for these which are high in fiber and vitamins. If you don't like these, double up on deep hued vegetables. In a few decades, you will be happy you learned how to eat such items.
