Dont count calories. Thats the quickest way to unmotivate yourself. Calories and carbohydrates are naturally occuring fuels for the body. Its when you dont burn them is when they become the problem. Just be sure that youre eating a balanced diet, and you arent taking more in then you are burning.
But from what it sounds like, a healthy rate of weight loss is around 1-2 lbs a week, depending on your intensity of workouts and exercise.
If you really want to up your weight loss healthily, lift light weights for high reps prior to your run. Youll kick start your heart rate and metabolism, then get a heart rate monitor and stay within the fat burn zone during your run.
