Then you should clean your floor.

Dirt on the floor is a sign that you need to sweep or vacuum more often.

Now if the dirt cross made your foot white as snow, or if it lifted you three feet into the air, maybe you could attach some supernatural significance, but all I see is a regular floor, regular dirt and the expected result of stepping on a small pile of dirt on the floor. The pattern will change. The cross will seem to disappear.

Anyone who gets a message from God, and asks for someone lesser than God to interpret it for him is too big a fool to have received a message from God in the first place.

As you have seen the Cross Disappear, so too has all Hope that you will ever attain Salvation disappeared.

Perhaps you are only seeing what you want to see, and what you wanted to see was God's work. Maybe your mind is simply crying out to behold more of God's handiwork. I would go on a hike to some tall peak so that you might behold some beautiful vistas. Perhaps then, God might stop sending you messages that prompt you towards viewing of the divine.
