My cat ate something bad and I don't know what to do.?
My cat just came in from outside and she has like mucus and spit all around her mouth. She's kinda freaked and and breathing heavy and she's trying to get something out of her mouth. We looked in her mouth but didn't see anything and we can't get her to drink. She gagged and tried to throw up but nothing came out. I'm not sure what it is but there's obviously a problem and I don't know what to do.
Now she's acting normal and eating. She isn't breathing heavily and is interested and alert and is purring no less. Should I still take her to a vet?

She might of just ate something like grass or weeds and got choked on it. If she doesn't act better within 24 hours or she stops drinking/eating, take her the vet immediately.

It would be best to get her to a vet, either an emergency vet or call your regular vet, most will have a number for an on call vet on their message.
She could have been poisoned. If she got into anti freeze it can kill her quickly.
You can't treat her yourself she really needs a vet
Edit
If she's calm and normal now she might have just been scared by something. At least call your vet and explain what happened and what she's doing now. They can tell you what to watch for and when to bring her in.

Observe her for a day or two and make sure her food and water consumption are back to normal. Also check her litter box and see if she's had a bowel movement. If everything looks normal, no need to take her to the vet.

please call the emergency vet in your area - look it up online by typing "ER vet" and then your town's name. tell them exactly what happened and then get her in.
Chealsy is right - anti freeze will kill her if she doesn't get treatment.
if money is a problem, tell the vet - they have new programs that let you pay a little over a long period of time.
good luck to you and your little one.
edit
best bet is to call them and tell them what happened. if she has been poisoned, she could get better, then suddenly die.
call and ask the ER vet and they will help you know what to do

call an emergency vet and ask what's best to do at the moment. it sounds like she had something toxic..to eat, you need to not ignore those signs.
