Is it normal for my therapist to ask me questions about my sex life?! What is he trying to find out about me?!?

Like not every session but sometimes in more detail than I'd like to share, because I was never the type to kiss and tell... You know?!

its a normal question because they need to know about all aspects of your life and not some so that way your therapist can get all the info he needs about you to develop his analysis on you and your thoughts and whatever issues you are trying to work out in therapy but if you dont feel at ease about being openly candid about certain parts of your life such asyour sex life you can be discreet in the stuff you say but i mean hes a therapist and im sure he understands if your not comfrtable with opening up like that just yet

It is, but you could just ask him to stop.
