How should I "propose" to my bridesmaids? 4/5 live way out of town...?
I have 5 girls I would like to ask to be my bridesmaids, but only 1 of them lives in my city.
1 lives in Germany, 1 in another province and 2 of them are 3 hours away.
I was thinking about getting a notebook for each of them (tailored to their likes/personalities), putting a picture of us inside the front cover, then writing a page or 2 about some of our memories and how much I value their friendship. Then adding a poem asking them to be my bridesmaid.
I would have loved to "propose" to each of them with a ring pop and a box of cookies, but I don't want to do that just for the 1 that lives in my town and not for the others.
What are your thoughts?

That is so freaking cute I want to be your bridesmaid lol! Maybe the ring pop will be too much and since you won't be able to do it for all of them then just skip it but the notebook is a really sweet idea, you' ll make them feel like you really want them there. You're so cute!

At first I thought you were a guy wanting to "propose" to all these women you were dating!! LOL!! Then I read your answer to your question and I got what you had meant. Why not just ask them to be in your bridal party? Do it the simple way, instead of doing it all fancy! That's just my own opinion. If your going to do something so over the top then go with your notebook idea! I think that idea would be the best! Congrats on getting married!

would certainly be a memorable way to be asked to be a part of a friend's wedding :-)
***EDIT
- you don't actually 'propose' to your friends - you ASK them to be a bridesmaid .
