what the **** is your definition of confidence?

I am a bit arritated about how people describe confidence, when they say "confidence is attractive", "i don't have confidence". Simply put I summarize confidence (my own): valuing yourself.

so I wanted to see how different peoples own definitions of the usually un defined 'confidence' that we repeated refer to. please responde with out reading previous answers, so that the answer will have diffrent answers and you can really compare what you see it with someone else.

Confidence is doing whatever you do without timidity, knowing you are the best 'you' that you can be, and honestly not caring if it isn't good enough for anyone else.

is generally described as a state of being certain either that a hypothesis or prediction is correct or that a chosen course of action is the best or most effective. Self-confidence is having confidence in oneself. Arrogance or hubris in this comparison, is having unmerited confidence—believing something or someone is capable or correct when they are not. Overconfidence or presumptuousness is excessive belief in someone (or something) succeeding, without any regard for failure. Scientifically, a situation can only be judged after the aim has been achieved or not. Confidence can be a self-fulfilling prophecy as those without it may fail or not try because they lack it and those with it may succeed because they have it rather than because of an innate ability.

  • To me, confidence isn't giving two rats tails about what anyone thinks about you.
