When speaking about jobs (a bank teller in my case), what does a "day shift" mean?

I e-mailed a potential employer today about becoming a teller and I asked her which time slots were available. She said "Tuesdays closing and MWF day shift." I'm not sure what that means. Also, I think it's a local bank so I don't know if their times are the same as your typical big national bank.

The terms for their hours will be the same as big national banks. Here is what she said translated into regular terms:

"Tuesday's (1pm-9pm) or whatever time they close. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 or 9 am to 5pm."

Day shift means you will work hours closely aligned with typical "9 to 5" hours, i.e. in the morning through early afternoon. Closing is whatever they are open up through, so if they close at 9pm you will work up until 9pm...if full-time, maybe 1pm-9pm.
