What is the best flavors for wedding cupcakes?

I am just trying to get a basic idea for what I want my wedding to be like. I want to have cupcakes instead of cake at my wedding. However, I don't know what cupcake flavors to get. The wedding most likely will be in mid-autumn. And I want a few to be carrot cake because my only surviving grandfather like carrot cake and that is the only cake flavor I have ever seen him eat.

Update:

To add, our colors are most likely going to be black and red, two of his favorite colors and one of mine.

Actually, a carrot cake and spice cake are very TRADITIONAL wedding cake flavors. So, GO for the carrot or spice... or BOTH! Top the carrot with RED icing and the spice with BLACK!

    That'll be 5-cents, please.

Chocolate and vanilla are classics that prerty much everyone likes. Red velvet is a great choice. Some like lemon or lemon poppy seed but I am personally not a fan. Banana cupcakes with cream cheese frosting is really good too. Coconut is a idea though I find some people don't like it, or maybe I just have weird friends, or both! Chocolate peanutbutter is a good choice too but make sure they are labeled because nut allergies are common. And since the wedding is in mid-autumn maybe have some pumpkin cupcakes! Yumm! Hope this helps :)

Yoc can do nearly any combination - red velvet is extremely popular right now, the problem with having alot of options is the more flavors you have, the more people are going to want to try, so you would need more cup cakes, and you dont want to run out - because of this i would limit the types of cupcakes to 2-3 different flavors to avoig being short on them becaude of the people who want to try different flavors. For fall my most popular flavors are pumpkin cream cheese, caramel apple, chocolate ganache, boston cream, spice, and maple bacon.

Maybe you could ask the bakery to do an assortment? I've been to a wedding where they had a few different flavors, like vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, and carrot.

My personal favorite, to go with your colors would be red velvet with cream cheese frosting, vanilla with black buttercream frosting, and chocolate with red buttercream frosting. But you definitely want to add your grandfather's touch too, so carrot cake would fit in well with cream cheese also.

    Hope this helps!

    You could do:

    *Red Velvet

    *Vanilla

    *Chocolate Mud

If you are doing carrot cake, then your best bet would be to go with a vanilla cupcake as well as the two flavours marry well together.
