Why does the Right blame the poor for urban decay?

Actually, I blame the Democrats and liberals who oversaw the destruction of the cities for what they have become.

As liberals became lenient on crime and raised taxes, and help foment racial unrest, businesses and people moved out of the cities to where there was lower cost, lower taxes and lower crime.

I blame the liberals for creating these urban economic disasters. The poor shoulder some of that blame for continuing to vote in the people who mismanaged and ruined their cities.

Get your head straight man. The right does not blame the poor for being poor, they blame the liberal politicians. Case closed. Who closed down the gulf against his own committee's advice? 40,000 jobs. Who is endlessly delaying the Keystone pipeline? 10,000-20,000 jobs. Who has not passed a budget in 3 years causing unnerving uncertainty among small and large business. Millions of jobs.

Who spent $500 million at Solyndra to destroy 1,000 jobs. Case Closed.

I would never blame the poor for being poor, and having some experience at being poor I take exception to your root cause implication. If what you say is true, how come the more tax dollars we invest in depressed areas and the poor, the more depressed and poor they become. It can only be a guess on my part because, as so many won't admit, I really don't know all the facts but, our entitlement society really doesn't work as well as we think, yet we continue to pour dollars into them. That would include areas that are able to provide employment. Similar to education, the system continues to decay no matter how hard we try to improve it by investing tax dollars. A nice looking school, with veggie dispensaries and tenured teachers means little to a good quality education. Although I've been witnessing this trend for decades, I don't think it's changing.

The Right DOES NOT do that. They blame the corrupt leftist liberal Democrat politicians that have ruled those cities for as long as 60-70 years.

Because everyone needs a scapegoat. Especially if you want to dump waste in their backyards and defund their schools and healthcare systems.

Oh, and Tiff, you ought to head down to FL, where the trailer parks and dumpy neighborhoods are full of white trash christians, and black people "who will always be poor" like my stepdad make more money than you could ever dream of making in your entire life.

You're right.. it's all my fault that virtually all of the poor fall into one or more of the following categories..

1) Poorly educated.

2) Criminal record.

3) Substance abuse problems.

4) Have kids they can't afford.
