Banana's Foster is a classic New Orleans recipe. It generally calls for dark rum but hey, try it with bourbon instead.

I made this over a camp fire once. No ice cream but it was sweet enough that plain yogurt worked instead. It actually beat out smores as the best camp ground desert even if we got a bit sick drinking up all the rest of the rum and banana liqueur.

Here's a recipe, but google Banana's Foster for lots of other examples.

Check out the various recipes for Bananas Foster. This might be what you're thinking of - other than it's normally made with dark rum. I could see using bourbon instead of the rum!
