Male Cat peeing on my clothes?

I adopted Sully from a local shelter about 2 years ago and after having him for about 6 months I noticed him peeing on dirty towels in a basket...I bought a different hamper with a lid to keep him out of there...then I noticed he was peeing on my clothes...clean or dirty...he never ever pees on my fiances clothes..just mine! He even does it right in front of me. I am so fed up with it. Just yesterday in front of me he peed on my blanket and pillow...I don't know what to do. I don't want to get rid of him because I am afraid the person who takes him will become irritated and put him to sleep. I have had to throw away many things due to him peeing all over. I don't understand why it's just my things as well. One day I came home and caught him on my clothes peeing and when I tried to push him off my clothes he rolled over on his back and continued peeing. I need help! Any suggestions on what to do or why he is doing this? I also have a 2 female kitties at home too.

Update:

Oh and he is fixed.

Is he neutered? If not that could be the problem.

He is telling you that he is emotionally upset. This is because he has a medical condition (needs a vet visit and urinalysis to rule out bladder irritation or infection and kidney problems) or he is stressed by the other cats in too small of a home or you don't change the litter box enough or...there are about 40 things. First, vet visit. Second, get at least 4 litterboxes without lids and scatter them all over your home and scoop them all daily and dump them weekly. Third, keep him in the bathroom with is own litterbox, food and water during the day when you are gone to keep your house clean. Fourth, take some URINEBGONE and a syringe and needle and scrubbrush and a blacklight and turn off the lights and scrub EVERYPLACE he has urinated (it will fluroesce under the blacklight) and inject the solution into the carpet pad under your carpet too to help deodorize the spot. Fifth, never leave your clothes out, keep them hung up or in drawers, and keep your laundry basket in the closet with the closet closed. Never let him near your blanket and pillow. He pees for you because he knows you are the one that might help him. You might have to keep all the cats separated from each other or visit a veterinary behaviorist for tips on how to achieve emotional calm at home. He may need kitty tranquilizers if his bloodwork is okay. If he has bladder inflammation, he may need a special diet. This is a complex problem and won't have an easy solution.

Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was very frightened and would pee all over the house. I found Cat Spraying No More on the internet and the techniques worked almost immediately. I haven't had a problem with Lola since. Amazing!

Your 4 year previous cat isn't previous, and this isn't any longer as a results of "previous age". The cat would have a UTI if he's suddenly peeing outdoors of the litterbox, and can be checked by capability of a vet in the present day to rule out any urinary issues. If he comes decrease back from the vet's without issues, he may be bothered by separation stress. ascertain to supply various time for play and affection throughout the time of the day, and once you flow to flow away, do no longer make a great fuss asserting 'see you later' over him earlier leaving - ultimate to forget approximately him, yell "bye" then flow away. He would additionally be smelling different scents/animals on you and your loved ones's clothing that he would not like and needs to "mark" his territory -- this is way less concern-unfastened in neutered men, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it nevertheless occurs now and lower back. after all, you may help the concern by capability of keeping clothing off the floor, and interior closets/dressers so the cat won't be ready to pee on them..... Please do no longer eliminate your cat as a results of fact of his beside the point habit -- it merely desires to be corrected and this is probable a solvable subject in case you merely make the concern to establish what may be inflicting it. some persons are so impatient and speedy to eliminate animals whilst they start doing some thing "incorrect".... would you (or your mom) eliminate a youngster as a results of fact he wets the mattress?? God....

he might be trying to make you smell like him...that will let the other kitties know that you are his like. its a territorial thing. also if he is stressed out over anything, peeing on things with your scent on them will help to calm him down. if its mainly white cloths he pees on then it might be because of the smell of bleach...a lot of cats are attracted to the smell of bleach for some strange reason. but they hate citrus for some reason so try using citrus scented fabric conditioners or spray your garments with a citrusy aerosol or even put highly scented pot pourri around where you dont want him to pee. cats dont like to pee in highly scented areas. or take an old sheet and soak it in a bucket of lemon juice and water- making the lemon juice stronger by adding very little water. Once the sheet has soaked for a few hours, take it out and line dry it, and use it to cover the things you dont want the cat to pee on. hopefully this helps a bit :)

He needs to be checked for a urinary tract infection. Any time a cat's litter box habits change you need to rule out a UTI. It's especially important with male cats as UTI can lead to a blockage which can be fatal. Please don't wait.

my cat does the same thing ;/

my guess is it's something territorial. with 2 other cats in the house, he feels the need to mark his territory. that what my old cat did once we got a nother cat. when my old cat died, I guess the new cat picked up on his nasty habit bc he is doing it now. it's a frustratig thing to deal with. we've tried repellant sprays, shock mats, cleaning the catbox more often, spanking him. idk what to do :0 hope u figure it out!

he is probably just marking his territory... make sure you get him neutered.!(:
