My fellow anime fans and otaku's!! Spare a moment!?

I've never once met a person that was as into anime as me.. (At least not in real life)

Well, I've gotten a few people hooked onto some anime series but, it's not the same as actually running into someone that likes to watch anime just as much as I do, nor can I expect the same enthousiasm out of them for anime in general.

Do you know people that watch anime in real life?

Where and how did you meet them?

I'm simply wondering if theres anyone in the neighbourhood that likes anime as much as I do and how I can find out ^.^

Thanks.

Update:

@Leah

It's the same for me!

Oh how I wish there'd be someone around here that I could have a proper anime discussion with as in:

"good god.. what to watch next?"

"THIS!! THIS!!"

And then the all important question: "Aight, why?", followed by "discussion" ;p

Sigh.... I wish I ever meet someone I can share my love for anime with someday just as much as the people in this community share it with eachother!

Update 2:

Don't any of you have the feeling like, "it doesn't really matter who it is, as long as it is someone?"

And I don't mean that in the "oh god... I'm so lonely..." way, but wouldn't it be awesome if you'd actually be able to SPEAK about anime instead of TYPE about it?

Update 3:

ANOTHER DETAIL MUAHAHAHA!!

Whenever I DO manage to get an anime conversation going, I notice it's often quite one-sided, as in, mostly me doing the talking, does that happen to you guys aswell?

Meaning you find someone interested enough to listen to you ranting on about anime but has no knowledge of it so eventually the convo will always die out?

i live in a small town with 1,000 ppl and it does frustrate me that they aren't OBSESSED with it like i am...they only know *these are the only ones* deadman wonderland, bleach, durarara!, death note, and fullmetal alchemist...they're my classmates and friends *only 2* and our love for one of these just came up in conversation then a few times obsessively about fullmetal alchemist~i wish i could do that with some of my other animes

sometimes i would be like, "have you ever heard of Blood+?" "nope" RAWR!!!

I actually know a lot of people who are anime/manga fans. In high school, I was reintroduced to anime by a few people. I had four or five friends who were into anime at that point, and quite a few aquaintances - and still do. I was probably the most engrossed of them, but at least I wasn't alone. There had been others that I knew liked anime, but our years separated us (didn't really want to hang with the younger crowds).

I'm in university now, and I see many people watch anime in the cafeteria (mostly Asians though), but I don't talk to them much because I don't really socialize. Plus, I also have many close online friends that I can talk to about animanga with so I'm not really searching for more friends to talk anime with. XD

But yeah, I know tons of people who love anime - which is pretty cool. Really, anime fans are everywhere, but they're not necessarily open about it.

5 years ago, I was introduced to anime by a friend. Luckily for me, I live near one of them and we would go to each other's house to hang out and talk about anime sometimes. Unfortunately, she became a Kpop fan and doesn't care much about anime as she used to. So, other then that I don't know anyone who likes anime except for some people at my school though they talk about anime I don't watch like Cobits.

Yep, my friends like anime and are really crazy about it, too. There used to be an anime club at my old school where anime fans used to hang out --pretty awesome. We would draw, watch films, read mangas, and talk about anime for about 2 hours each Wednesday. It was just amazing to meet those who loved anime as much as I do.

I know a couple people from my school who watch anime but dont really know any other anime besides Bleach,Naruto,Hetalia. But my 2 close friends love to watch anime and I seriously couldnt have asked for better friends. Its funny because they kind of seem like anime characters to me,haha. The other is loud, annoying, cocky and she gets pissed off too easily but we make fun of her anyway XD The other is smart and collected and sometimes she cant tolerate the other one but she enjoys hanging out with me cuz I'm quieter :3

I met them way back in elementary school and now we're in highschool.I just sort of started hanging out with them cuz they sat in my table. Then we had discussions on videogames which led to animes which led to cosplaying.Haha,I was able to cosplay with them last summer. It was fun indeed :D

a million) Animes have warning that say youthful than 13 or sometimes youthful than 20 are no longer inspired to visual exhibit unit. is that this infantile? 2) An paintings is your creativity and the style you % it to be. Anime is paintings. 3) If all anime followers are closet geeks then why do my friends are so usual and are overtly geeks? Then why am I so sporty and have been given intense grades on the comparable time? Then why is the perfect trend setter of our classification is an anime fan and so is unquestionably one of our smartest student and definitely one of all perfect basketball participant? 4) desires to realize are greater applicable than animes, each and every anime followers be conscious of this. 5) Ecchi and Hentainare porn. There are categories. 6) people who disrespect and undesirable mouth us, i think of your brains are so dumb which you would be able to basically think of of such mindless and baseless retorts that would backfire each time.

Wish there was someone, but I doubt it. I know a few people who watch anime, but were not really friends, and they haven't watched like I watch.
