My 4 month old baby kitten is pooping out runny green diarrhea that looks like spit/ saliva, HELP !!! please?
For the past couple of days (3-4 days) my baby kitten has had diarrhea. its green and slimey looking. Kinda looks like saliva and spit. My best guess is that he ate a little bit of my sour cream and onion dip and his stomach isn't agreeing with it... He just went in and stuck his whole head in the bowl before i could stop him..i didnt let him eat it !! (and he only got a few lips in not to much) but that was 3 or 4 days ago. since then his stools has been very watery and runny, not solid at all. and it ranges from yellowish green to a lite brownish. and he has trouble going. its like hes a bit constipated and he cries like crazy and it makes me feel so bad. i noticed he hasnt been feeling good because he would walk up to me crying and he hasnt been his usual self running around playing messing with the bigger cats. (my bigger cats are fine) and hes been getting skinny, losing weigh because hes not feeling well and he doesnt feel like eating but he still eating a little bit. and hes drinking water and a little bit of the clear pedialyte to keep him hydrated from all the diarrhea.
so anyone please help me enlighten me on what i can do to help my little guy. like i said i cant take him to vet because of my financial problems. so home remedies would help.
his diet is 9lives wet food or friskies wet food (can) and whiskas kitten hard food
i live in new york and idk about anyway else but its a lot of money out here for a vet. they want like a couple hundred or more just to examine your pet let alone tell you what wrongs and how to fix it.... so i cant take him to a vet. so if youve had this problem or similar share it. i really need help :(
i forgot to mention he threw up twice while he was trying to use the litter. he was pushing and was a little constipated nothing was coming out then he started making this sound like a hair ball was coming up and he just threw up something that looked like yellow-green water..? idk really...
hes never been to a vet. i got him from a friend a month and a half back, (he was a month and half old @ the time) who had a litter of kittens and she was allergic to the kittens so she was giving them away, i got one. she told me she could call her friend whos an assistant vet and get me a discount. so tomorrow i'll bring him over for a check up. hopefully they dont beat me over the head or hey maybe they'll understand my dilemma and let me pay in payments...? :/ well me luck i everyone

Has he ever seen a vet?
Most kittens are infested with internal parasites and if left untreated it can cause severe diarrhea.
It is crucial your kitten sees a vet. Not only do kittens (just like infants) need to be checked to make sure they are growing properly, but they also need vaccines, to be de-wormed, de-fleaed, and tested for feline aids/feline leukemia.
Since he is throwing up and having diarrea, this is an EMERGENCY. He needs to see a vet, end of story, get off the internet and take him now. He is becoming more dehydrated each time.

Please be careful with phrases like "force the water down their throat". You will surely drown them.
Dribble water slowly onto their mouths using a pipette or similar, so that they lick and swallow properly. If they will not lick, then a vet may have to use a drip feed. However the spirit of the advice is correct, dehydration will cause the most harm whatever the cause of the diarrhea and vomiting. Using something Nutri-plus gel or honey may be the best way of feeding them when they are ill. Once they are taking water and some food, then the parasite or bacteria can be treated.

Rice cereal is like junk food. It really doesn't offer any good nutrition, and a 4 month old lacks digestive enzymes to properly digest it. Many doctors don't recommend it at all anymore. And, it's got iron added to it, which is very hard for a young baby to digest, and is probably causing the green poop. Iron in breastmilk is sufficient, and MUCH easier to digest, and more bio-available. You're also increasing her chances of diabetes, allergies, and asthma. Why? Ditch the rice cereal (and ANY 'food') and stick with breastmilk :)

Onions are poisonous for cats. Dairy lactose will give them diarrhoea.
You need to keep kitty hydrated, but don't feed kitty for day or so.
If you can't get the cat to drink, you need to go buy a baby syringe and force the water down their throat.
Cats are very susceptible to liver damage if they get dehydrated. (Within a day or two is possible.)
Please look online at what foods you can and can't feet your cats.
Btw, most vets will bill you and you can just go in and pay later.

If you take it to the vet than you will have to pay big bucks for it and you wont see it for a couple weeks and it will most likely be ok but not for sure. I think that you should feed it a different kind of food because some cats are sensitive to certain kinds of food.

Poor little thing.
Sounds like your kitty is on the wrong diet.
Take it to the vet to get something to calm her down and then observe her.

Take it to a vet instead of asking people on the internet.
