becoming a sniffer dog handler?
hi
currently living in london, have recently got a black labrador pup 11weeks now, he is fantastic and always sniffing things out, i have for a long time wanted to be a dog handler but didnt have the finances or in a position to have dog, well now i do, i am currently an sia head door supervisor (3years now) and i love the job but would love to work as a "sniffer dog handler", (i didnt get my pup to do the course, got him for company and to give him a good home and seems like a good idea to see if we can make a living at somthing we would both enjoy doing) things im struggling to find out.
:places in london or just outside to do the training
:prices for courses
:will they let me use my dog for the course and to be partnered up with or will i have to use and take on another dog that they have breed?
:advise from previsous/present sniffer dog handlers please?
i have tried searching on line but not getting very far, allot of companys who supply clients with sniffer dog handlers but thats a step ahead.
hope some one on here can help

You mean like for the police or customs? People join the police/customs as regular officers, then after a few years specialise as sniffer dog handlers. They don't join specifically to handle dogs. It doesn't work that way.
The UK police aren't recruiting right now, they're actually cutting employees. They probably won't be recruiting for another few years.
