Why is it that mass shootings in the U.S. happen in places that do not allow concealed carry?
Ever notice that when crazies shoot up a bunch of people it usually happens at a place that does not allow law abiding citizens to carry a concealed weapon? Teachers who are trained are not allowed to carry concealed. Professors at Universities are not allowed to carry concealed if they wanted to. The Batman movie theater banned law abiding citizens from carrying concealed. What if a law abiding citizen or two were carrying at these schools, universities, and at the theater? Would more people be alive? Do you fell safer at a place where concealed carry is allowed?

This question is made even more tasteless by the fact that the mass shooting that killed 6 people and injured 12 more including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was in Tuscon Arizona, where conceal and carry IS legal.

With the exception of Jared "the loser" Loughner ... you are right! It's possible that Loughner was trying to commit suicide by pulling his crime in a "gun rich" area.
The people of Tuscon kind of screwed that plan up and took him down without firing a shot. Good thing they were smart, responsible people. Shooting in a crowd like that is sure to create more innocent victims.
Other shootings ... like Virginia Tech, The Civic center in Binghamton, NY and others ... a responsible concealed carry holder could have got a clear shot at the aggressor and ended the bloodshed.
That's why these cowards hit places that do not allow law abiding citizens to carry weapons ... the law abiding, responsible gun owner might screw up their grand plan.
Why don't legislators see this and react to make fewer gun free zones? Beats me!

You mean in places like Chicago where 40-50 people get shot in a weekend. If more people were allowed to conceal carry crime would go down substantially.

The shooters may be stupid, but they are cunning enough to realize that where they go active is a target-rich area, with no means of anyone shooting him. They are obviously cowards, because they off themselves, usually. The idiot from Colorado is trying for an insanity plea.

It's possible.. But I think funding public mental health services would be good too.
