Thanks!

I still feed my 10 month old three times a day and probably will for her entire life. She won't eat large meals so it's better if I just split it up for her.

Generally after 4 months its fine.

It partly depends on the breed of your puppy. Smaller breeds tend to eat 3 meals for longer than large breed dogs, at least I've found that. My puppies are generally around 5 months old when they don't want the middle meal any more so that's when I stop offering it. My puppies do, however, get treats throughout the day as training rewards.

Agree with the 5 to 6 months.

    I do 4 times at 8 to 12 weeks.

3 times at 12 to 18 weeks (approx)

    2 times from then on.

Definitely not too young as their little stomachs can't hold the amount of food they need. Don't forget that at 6 to 9 months they are eating more than they will as an adult.

We feed our dogs three times a day and they are ages 10 months and 7 years. We prefer that the dogs eat three smaller meals than two larger ones because it's better for their metabolism, just like with humans. Also, some dog breeds are prone to bloat (our dog breeds are the most prone) which almost always causes extreme pain and suffering and almost always results in death. Many dogs have to have surgery in an attempt to save their lives and the surgery is rarely successful. Too much food at one time can cause bloa in dogs.t.

Around 5-6 months you can switch from feeding 3 times a day down to 2 times per day. :)
