Side dish help For Christmas dinner?

I am going to get a honeybaked ham for Christmas dinner this year but not really sure what to make other than maybe baked apples. Not even sure about that. Anyway if you have some thoughts on what I can fix with the ham. Thanks :)

    Au gratin potatoes

Baked sweet potatoes; a little oil or butter on skin, wrap in foil bake 400F for about 40 min or till tender, serve with pats of butter salt and pepper

    Macaroni and cheese

    Potato salad

Fresh green beans cooked with a ham hock, seasoning, onion and just enough chicken broth to come up 1/4 of the way up the pot; cover, simmer low till beans are tender, 40min to an hour

Have you ever tried Quinoa? It's a grain, and also you cook dinner it like rice. I like it! It has an incredible nutty flavour. Cook dinner it with some diced onions, celery, might be some purple pepper, simmer in chicken broth....Voila an awfully healthy aspect dish that tastes great! The other thing to is that alot of persons do not know what it's so they'll be intrigued that you're making whatever so exclusive. How about some sauteed swiss chard, or Bok Choy, or put them along side garlic and olive oil. Very healthy, and Tastes quality. Good, i hope this helps.....Have a first-class excursion Season.

instead of baked apples, which are delish BTW, how about a blend of sweet potato chunks and apple chunks, baked with brown sugar and butter on them! maybe finish this off with a dash of cinnamon or clove and some toasted marshmallows?
