From 1-10 how hard is U.S. Army Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, Georgia?

Hi I will be graduating High School shortly and I want to join the Army and go Infantry, I was wondering how hard from 1-10 is Army BCT at Fort Benning, Georgia. Any Infantry Army Veterans know?

Update:

I'm not trying to hate but I was watching videos about BCT on YouTube and it looks incredibly easy. And I am sitting there thinking, what the *****? You're training to become a Soldier in the United States Army, it is supposed to be hell but it looks like a cakewalk.

Let Bobby or Greg be in your face while your face is in the dirt....and remember you called it a cakewalk.

It sucks, but it's a lot of fun. You'll never forget your drill sergeants.

I graduated Ft. Benning this year.

I wouldn't venture to say it's "hard". It's more of a challenge. Some people just don't have the stomach for the military life. I know quite a few good people who went nuts over the course of their time there. My battle buddy tried to kill himself 3 times before they sent him home. Then there were a lot of sh*tbags (a term you'll become very familiar with) that passed.

Source(s): Went to a company where all our drill sergeants were former infantry drill sergeants. They got moved to a "support" unit because of no room. Treated it like OSUT. Army Combat Medic.

That would depend on your physical condition prior to reporting, your motivation, and how homesick you get while you are in training. From 1-10 would depend on the person.

Greg is right. Basic Training is harder for some than others. Focus on yourself, and your motivations for why you joined/intend to join.
