By liking all those pictures, the video, and talking to you, she's not only announced to you that she likes you, she's also announced it to all of her friends and family. By acting like you had a gf, you've made it look like she was some psycho crazy girl who was obsessed with her, humiliating her. You said it was a joke, but that just means that you aren't taking her or relationships seriously, and she takes you seriously and wants you to take her seriously.

I would call her, apologize to her, say you were being really stupid, and that you don't have a lot of experience with this kind of thing. If you're still interested in her, offer to take her out for ice cream, your treat. And do so.

Last but not least, stop being a coward and start talking to her in person. If it seems like the conversation is lacking, that's because you're not spending time together in person, and she feels like you don't like her and you're just playing with her because you're not even trying.

Well you played a game and she stopped texting a lot because she thought you had a gf. She wouldn't have mentioned her if she didn't like you. Even though guys were liking her pictures she was clearly into you in the beginning because she was talking to you and flirting with you. She mentioned the gf because she was sad about it. Try being her friend and if y'all are comfortable with getting together than do it but try not to be pushy.

she probably feels like you were playing games with her. There's a simple way to fix this. Just tell her you like her and only her and you apologize if you offended her or led her on in any way. Then just be yourself and you're all set.
