Could the Boston bomb suspect answer interrogators in writing if he can't speak?
The mayor of Boston has said it may never be possible to interrogate him as he cannot speak due to injuries. Would the law allow Dzjokhar Tsarneav to answer the questions in writing if he cannot speaK?

That's what made me suspect that perhaps he also has brain damage. The mayor didn't really elaborate about what he was referring to. There were some reports that the wound to the neck could have been self inflicted. If he is alert and his condition improves, and there is no brain damage, then I don't see why he can't communicate via a keyboard if he can't speak.

We have no real Information about his wounds so it is possible he can't write either and the last I heard he was sedated and unconscious so writing would not be an option there either. Let us not discount the possibility that they already have some information from him perhaps about other co-conspirators and they do not want those parties to know they are aware of them so they are simply saying they have nothing yet. As long as he is under control I don't care how long it takes for him to answer questions or to die. I do hope we learn something from him but if not...good riddance.
