    1. Familiarize yourself with the job description and note down any questions you have about it.

    2. Learn about the company by visiting their website. Read the About section for their company vision or mission, values, history and highlights. Read any other parts that are relevant to your job or seem interesting to you. Again, write down any questions that occur.

    3. Look up every person you've been told you'll interview with on LinkedIn. It's fine to do this - it's part of your research for the interview. Besides, they will surely look for you online, too. You can also Google their names, as they may be on Facebook or have a blog or website or show up in a news story. It can help you find things you have in common with them, which is a good way to build a relationship. It can also help you to avoid inadvertently offending them. Example: You happen to mention that golf is the most boring sport in the world, when golf is their passion. Or you look surprised when someone turns out to look very different from your mental picture of them.

    4. Drive out to the company so you know where it is and how long it takes to get there.

    5. Review your resume so you can discuss it without having to remember. Seriously, I have had interviewers mention something on my resume and I have no memory of it being there! Usually it's because they're taking it out of context, but it looks bad anyway.

    6. Go over some interview questions. You may have been asked about your strengths and weaknesses many times, but customize your answers to the job you're going for. You want a strength that will be important to the job and a weakness that won't be relevant. You also want a "how you handled that tough situation" answer that can be useful for ther company or job.

    7. Make sure everything you plan to wear is clean and pressed the day before. Make sure whatever you're taking with you is ready to do. You'll want something to carry a paper copy of your resume in, maybe samples of your work (depending on the type of job it is) on paper or a flash drive, something to take notes with.

    8. Eat healthfully the night before - remember, fish (fish, not shellfish) is brain food, and a fish dinner will maximize your mental acuity. Don't overeat, don't drink alcohol. Get in some exercise, nothing punishing, so your body is loose and easy - it shows when you walk, and it makes a difference. Pluck the nose hairs, do the manicure, etc. the night before. Get enough sleep.

    9. Shower the morning of the interview, so you're as fresh as possible.

    10. Drive there early, but don't arrive at the receptionist's more than five minutes early. Definitely don't be late.

FIrst of all you shave and shower and dress for the job. You don't have to bowl the person over you just need to portray yourself as someone who can do the job and will be a pleasure to work alongside and not give them any grief.

It is wise to do a websearch on the company or business you are applying at. Read about their past, present, and future plans. Also the particular job should be researched. Even if you have had a job like it before you will want to brush up on terms, procedures, and situations that may arise in that job. The internet and everything you need to know is on the internet. You just need to reach out and grab it.

    1. Go over the entire website.

Look for the company's mission statement or goals.

    2. See if they have names of their staff.

Try to become familiar with titles.

    3. If fast food, memorize the menu.

    4. Wikipedia the history so you can learn about the company.

    5. Practice answering questions with a friend.

    6. Memorize your resume.

I always relax right before going in.

Just make sure you either wash your hand or have babby wipes along to wipe it off, before you shake the HR person's hand.

There's plenty of time to not wash after you're there a while, and are looking for a new job.
