Does anyone know a lawyer that will represent me for a HIPAA violation?
Someone took a copy of my medical records from a local facility for malicious purposes. I mailed in my complaint and feel sure the person who gave them out will be fired. However, this private information has been passed around to...who knows where! I have contacted two legal firms but neither of them handle this type of claim. PLEASE HELP! I need an attorney ASAP before further damage is caused to my family or me!Thank you!

A HIPAA violation does not result in a claim from YOU. The facility can be fined, but unless you personally suffer some sort of loss, you cannot sue for the breach. Do you have losses or damage?
