My dad made a mistake on his resume/application. Need help.?

After I helped Dad submit his resume/application, we realized that we made a tiny boo boo on his dates of employment (wrong month). Dad has a phone interview tomorrow and this job is very important to him. On his resume, one of the date errors is with a company that he had worked with but it is out of business. The company he previously was let go from is still in service and it is merely the wrong month (we put December instead of January).

Should he bring this up in the phone interview? Remember, this is really important to my dad.

No. A phone interview is just screening someone to see if he or she answers the routine questions in a way that makes it sound like the employer will pick them to come in and interview.

It's a quick interview technique so they don't waste time on people who don't at all fit their needs.

January and December in the same YEAR are 11 months apart.

January and December in different years might be only 1 month apart.

It's not a tiny "boo boo". He should avoid making that mistake again, ever.

Make out a history of work in a document. Keep it up to date. Keep it handy for other job applications.

It and a resume should be kept with the names of the employers, title, month/year for the start and end dates, and job duties.

For a company out of business it won't matter for this job. Go for it. Don't mention it.
