    The Arditi.

They were Italian volunteers shock group in WW1 who were tasked to take enemy trenches and hold them. They'd creep in under the cover of artillery and, armed with only knives and hand grenades because guns were too cumbersome. Once the shelling stopped, they'd leap into the trenches and kill the enemies still huddled in their dugouts.

Once they took a section of a trench they had to hold it for usually 24 hours until they were replaced by the regular army coming in behind them.

In each attack they usually lost 25-30% of the men who participated but they got results.

The Filipino Mafia. They control the food and the entire supply department. The military wouldn't work without them.
