Health insurance agent at my doctors appointment?
Sometimes an agent or nurse from my insurance company will be at my doctors office to talk to me. I am in one of those little exam rooms, and in she comes, telling me I have to have this tested, and that done. It really ticks me off! No other agent from my other insurances, car, life, homeowners, etc. does this crap so why the heck do I have to put up with it from my health insurance company? Or do I? These insurance companies seem to be gaining alot of control!

Insurance companies really aren't supposed to do that, and I have never had one that has. I suggest either filing a complaint with the company, or, for a more efficient approach, switch companies. Might I suggest Blue Cross Blue Shield, I currently have them, and they haven't done anything wrong or aggravating to me yet in the 5 years I've had them.

An agent won't come in an exam room. If your agent does you need to complain to both the insurance company and also your state department of insurance.
Some of the Medicare plans are starting to use nurses to make sure that your care is proper and complete because these plans are now starting to get rated by Medicare and a higher rating means more money. However, they'll come to your hospital room or to your private home with an appointment but they're not supposed to come to the exam room without your permission. Tell them you don't want them there and they'll leave.
I'd be interested in knowing if your plan is a Medicare plan or not, and what state.
