Let me rephrase this question: Is my boss allowed to care about my well being and want to know when I will be returning to work so he can plan accordingly, and do so by inconveniencing himself by coming to my home to discuss this instead of requiring me to come into the office?
That's what I hear you asking, and the answer is yes, it is legal for your boss to go out of his way and come to your home instead of requiring you to go to the office to discuss your return to work, and any accommodations that may be needed.

He's allowed to come to your house as much as anyone is allowed to come to your house. Whether you let him in is up to you. As with anyone else.
This isn't necessarily "negative", some bosses do care about their staff. He may want to see how you're managing, especially if you live alone, and perhaps see how you envisage being able to work once you're mobile again, with a view maybe to finding a sedentary job for you if it helps.

It all depends on the policy that your place of work has that relates to this. Depending on what your job is and if your company can move you to a place where your broken leg would not matter, you could still be required to work.

They are allowed to ask, but you don't have to agree to let them visit. Although it would be unwise to be too obstructive about something like this.

Boss has every right to ask if they can come visit. Since you aren't asking if you have to let them it's really allowed.

Sure. Invite him over. He wants to see how bad it is and talk to you about when you think you will be able to get back to work.
